I had a set of R4's and Turfs for my last BX. After I bought the R4's through the Kubota whole goods for under $300, I never used the turfs again. The R4's were gone on grass, and offered front tire support when using the loader when the turfs almost ride off the rim.
Well, stupidly, when I bought my new BX2670, I took the turfs as it is a primary mower. Now after much thought and use, I priced out R4's the same way, and they are closer to $500 OTD. While the tires and wheels are $390, no one seems to want to piggyback the tires with another load to forgo the $90 shipping fee. I'm sure the tires will be on the same truck as someone's pretty new orange tractor, but I'd get stung for $90. Twenty percent shipping seems exorbitant.

I agree on the shipping. I have a massive Kubota warehouse 10 miles down the road and a dealer 4 miles away. The dealer gets delivery within hours and yet still charges the same shipping cost as before the warehouse was built and my parts came from Georgia.

I have found it depends how long you want to wait. My dealer at least will bundle stuff if you can wait until the next delivery. If you want it yesterday then they will pass on whatever the freight charge is.

We are now members of the "Great Equalizer Society". Everybody gets a medal and everybody pays the same. Wish the paymaster would hurry and catch up to the real times.

you have to pay freight on loose tires. There is no way to get them to ride for free unless they are mounted to a tractor

Kubota uses an equalized freight system. Everyone pays the same, regardless of your distance from the warehouse.

Well, if that's the case, can I have them shipped directly to my Illinois address through Messicks?
