Spacers on B3030 3 point hitch arms

Should the spacers go on before or after you put the hitch arms on.
I've looked in manual but have a hard time seeing which goes on 1st or does it matter?
I use it with a 5 foot rotary cutter.

Spacers first, arms second, retainer pins last. On tractors with a MMM the spacers are replaced with a device that lifts the deck when the 3PTH is raised.

Thanks for that info. I received the spacers and was not sure what they were used for. Now I know!
