southwest goosenecks

Anyone familiar with Southwest goosenecks or Southwest trailers? I'm looking at their skid steer trailer 16' with 7k axles. Been using a Big Tex but was told SW was built heavier but still a lightweight, easy to tow trailer.

Anyone have any experience?

I've seen HotShot guys using them when I was in the business, never heard anything bad.

I have a 28' Southwest gooseneck with drive over fenders and 8000# axles, single wheel.
Its around 10 years old and the only issue I've had was when I first bought it.
The u-bolts loosened on the axels after using it a couple of times and needed to be tightened.I pull a JD 6410 and a JD 332D with a mulching head and haven't had any problems. It handles the weight with no problem and pulls really well empty. The only thing I would change would be going with 17.5 wheels for a heavier weight capacity.

I'm near San Antonio.

Looking at the bumper pull 16' with 7k axles rated at 13k. I wanted a heavier equipment trailer but my max load is under 10k. they tell me the trailer weighs 2350 lbs.

I use a flatbed to haul my attachments and just pull my skid or mini ex on the trailer and work in a lot of tight areas so a short trailer has been great for the last 10 years. I used to haul with a 20 +5 gooseneck and it was too long for what I do.

I've been using Big Tex but had a lot of problems.. Had a magnum.. that was a stout trailer. Should have kept it!

May trailers in Ada, Ok make a very good trailer, I still have the 1st one I bought from them in 97.
Another one to look at IMO would be Trailer Wheel and Frame, I had a 40' G/N made by them, it was light and stout.
