Hi Alan,

How ya'aaaaal doing? I have seen your post for awhile now and am starting to think we are the only ones down here in God's country. I am in Atlanta but keep my tractor at our weekend home in the North Georgia mountains. Anyone else around this part of the world?

The south truly is God's country, just have to live here to know what us southern folks are talking about. I'm from Tennesee, and can't say I'd rather live anywhere else.

Thank goodness. I thought that I done fell into a whorde of yankees. Its good to see that at least there are some Kubota owners down here.

When was the last time you heard someone say that they wanted to work hard so they could retire early and move up north!!!!!!!!!!

Well now, I don't know - the folks in Maine say there's too many folks doing it to suit them.

Re: South )

Ahh....where else can one go in the U.S.A. where the season change so often other than the northeast.
Spring we have mud and ruts snow.
Summer hot weather and hard ground also bugs.
Fall Little mud also frozen ground some warm weather plus rain.
Winter just darn cold and windy also snow and more snow,so thats one of the major reason why I like my tractor.
Like the motto on New Hampshire plates read, "Live Free or Die"
This much I will admitt,I have visit the southern states thru the years and people are more friendly and laid back,my type of people for sure !!
I do enjoy the weather also the area so its a catch 22.
I look at this way, if there wasn't a south there wouldn't be a north nor there wouldn't be south if there wasn't a north.
I hope you have a pleasant weekend.
Take Care.

Re: South )

The south does have a reputation (earned I hope) for friendly, laid back, folks. And to some extent I go along with that idea, but having traveled nationwide, both for pleasure and business, I've met a lot of fine people all over the country (and a few who weren't so fine). But for an overall appraisal of a community, I'd have to admit that the friendliest folks I've dealt with was during the 4 months I spent in the Sayre/Athens/South Waverly, PA, area in the Spring of '93 (not too far from Muhammad's neck of the woods).
