Does anybody have a source for deere style quick tach mounts? I'd like to mod a set of forks to fit the front of my deere and would think it would be a lot easier to buy than to fab these parts.

What model loader do you have? I know the hooks and pins that are welded on the bucket for my 200CX are available through Deere as service parts, seems like I found them in the catalog at one point when I was considering building some attachment. I think those same parts will fit a 300 series loader too, but others may know for sure.

Found them again: For a 200X or 200CX loader:

Hooks: W43359
Pin/spud: W47211

Looks like the same 2 part numbers show up on the 300, 300X, and 300CX too. Not sure about anything bigger than that. I think the same style was used on the 410 or 420 that came before the 200 and 300 loaders...

The hooks and pins are available through JDParts, but the price is up dramatically over the last few years...It's the same for all the loaders BTW. Here are the numbers:
W43359 HOOK, BUCKET ADD28.69 USD 57.38 USD
W47211 PIN, BUCKET ADD34.43 USD 68.86 USD

When I bought mine, I think I paid $30 for two hooks and two pins!

The pins are easily made however from CAT3 pins from TSC or wherever, and the hooks can be made from 1 1/2" angle iron...

Ouch!! The lower pins seem easy enough to fab. Not too sure about making the top "hooks though.

I can draw you a picture maybe tomorrow...It's easy with the 1 1/2" angle like I said...

There is also a great picture in one of the "fork" threads that shows this method, but I do not remember who the poster was...I will search later-gotta go now;)

Read THIS thread and look at the pictures user "Sticky" posted, he did the angle iron method...there was another with better pics but i can't seem to find it.

Thanks, I wonder if deere heat treats theirs or not. I think there would be a lot of stress on those angles/clips.

Not that I know of...the ones I used seemed like regular steel. They do put a strap across the top for support though.

The pricing seems high. Maybe it's a dealer thing because earlier this year I built a bale spear and the set of hooks and pins only ran me around $40 total. They were also from JD parts.

This is the one I was looking for from user HookBlock in THIS thread.

Thanks!! That looks solid and easy enough to fab. I did find them on JDparts.

Part Number: W43359
Part Price: 11.25 USD
Description: HOOK, BUCKET

Part Number: W47211
Part Price: 13.50 USD
Description: PIN, BUCKET

The hooks are cheap enough. The pins seem a little high when you could just cut some 3 pt. pins.

They must have changed the prices then since I added them to "my cart" a while ago...You see the prices i posted above:eek:

I fabricated mine with some 3x5x1/2 angle over the top of a frame used to support my Snow Blade. Going on 5 years now and I have had no problems. I reinforced the sides with a piece of flat bar also used to force the arms into the hooks if a little out of alignment. The picture is a little fuzzy, I could get better ones tommorow. I have since built 2 more sets for a bale spear and a rock bucket I built.

A better picture would be great and I am sure it will help someone in the future.

A little better pictures, I am no photographer. I was a little off on the angle dimensions. It was 3x3x1/4 angle that I used. 1 1/2 x 1/4 flat par for the sides. I have a 790 with a 419 loader. I copied the design from my frontier pallet forks. Theirs has a 2x1/4 flat bar wraped over the top of the angle to help reinforce it, I don't know why I didn't do that.

I've come across quite a few posts for the pins and hooks but I haven't seen what I'm looking for. Maybe I just don't know what they are called. Instead of the pins and hooks that attach to the buckets/forks or whatever else, I'm looking for the ends that attach to the loader itself which allows the for the quick-tach option. Any help locating these items would be greatly appreciated.
