Well, the other day I was creating a power point presentation about tractors and I wondered about adding sound to the presentation.
Can anyone recommend a good and cheap $$ sound editing program that will let me chop-up and save bits of sound clips. I would like to rip some songs to MP3 format and then edit them down to just a few seconds of play.

I use Media Jukebox to rip music off music CDs.

I agree with MikePA, sound edit is about the coolest app for editing audio. If you are really into sound, you should also check out Sound Edit Pro... That thing has more bells and whistles than a recording studio at Sony.
