I have a 2003 John Deere 110 backhoe, it is 7 feet long and will angle from left to right. It has a skid steer quick attachment

The question is. Is there a way to make the blade float/ pivot so the full edge of the blade would stay in contact with the ground

thanks

No float position on your FEL valve control ?

Edit
After reading Geo's post, I see better what your question is. Geo has the best solution, IMO, but having a blade out on the FEL presents a tough problem when blade angle is changed.
A pic or two may lead to some better answers for some help.

When using a QA snow blade on a tractor the plows A frame must be level with the ground or when angled the blade won't be level. Try adjusting the loader curl function to level the A frame then the blade cutting edge will stay level when angled.

These TLB110 have float if you push the joy stick all the way forward past the detent( you should feel it). I don't use it, I drop the blade and lift the loader a small amount to let the blade float. My blade is 8 feet and works very well. As said above the blade/quick attach needs to be level to the road to keep the angle working without adjust curl each time you angle.

On truck style blades I've used undersized pins to put slop in the blade so it will follow road crown better, if that's what you're referring to and if that's the style you have.

Yep, if its the side to side you want to pivot......I too use slightly undersized pins on my truck.

There are some plows that are made to float like that. The A-frame is more like a round tube, and the plow is mounted over that with a larger round tube to allow some side to side float. Would be hard to convert an existing plow to do that though.

Any pictures of your current setup?
