I added a swinging cup holder designed for an ATV,
Bill

I keep saying I am going to do this. The build in cup holder is too wide. Does not hold a water bottle in place. It bounces out about 3 seconds in to your drive.

Weld on bucket hooks are a necessity especially if you don't have pallet forks

Adding dye to hydraulic fluid (if you have a sight glass)

What is the best dye to use? Is there a specially formulated dye for hydro oil? And, what color is found to be most visible?

I am not sure what a swinging cup holder is, but will check it out. This is the one I have - it can bounce out, I suppose, if you are really on rough ground but it has worked well for me - magnetic. I have also used a "stuck cup" in the past but can't find it now.

I ordered the dye from John Deere. The product is MT3668 if anyone is interested. $5.07 per bottle - one bottle is enough. Made a world of difference in being able to see the level mark in the sight glass. Very frustrating before I added this. Will show red.

That looks deep enough. The one built into my tractor is shallow and wide so driving over gravel would knock the bottle out. The roughest ground I have is ground that used to be row crops. That is going to be flattened soon anyway, but the stock cup holder sucks.

That seems to be what everyone uses. Don't you wonder though, since Kubota has several tractors that use a sight glass, why on earth don't they sell the little bottle of dye insteading of making everyone go over to the JD dealer where they could look at tractors?. Ain't they got no marketing sense?

Just got a stick on digital clock to put on the window.....Its easy to know when its dark but without a watch its hard to know when to knock off before the 10 o'clock fire restriction.

Good list Beowulf. And you could add a rear view mirror. Got a second tractor this spring w/o a mirror. I didn't realize how much I used it until there wasn't one to use.

gg

You are costing a lot of us the price of a mirror! Or two!

Where have you guys mounted the mirror? I have a Kubota L2800, fel, no cab. I have a nice sturdy mirror from a forklift but never could determine a good place.
