They sure can, but the problem with a skiddy is that they are claustrophobic for me and less vesatile in that I don’t get the boulder & stump digging benefit. Also, my CX-15 can do a great job clearing wide swaths of thick brush.

If I combined my CX-15 with a mini-ex/mulcher, I’d have an unbeatable one-two punch for clearing land.

It’s no big deal. I’ve had almost nothing happen in terms of debris throw. Now on the mini-ex/mulcher, I’m not sure how bad they throw, probably a good idea to fab a protective cage/guard in front of the glass door or buy a thick plexiglass door (if available)

Most models have threaded spots around the cab glass area to accept vandal guards. It's easy to fab an expanded metal guard to save the glass. They're just annoying to stare thru all day. Upside is you still have eyes to stare thru them all day.

You definitely want full protection with one of those units. As I’ve posted before, I’ve seen them throw wood chunks hard enough to penetrate a truck door. They are sweet and your preferred choice is definitely the most versatile if not the quickest machine.

Just bought a new Kawsaki mule pro fx ranch edition Friday. I would have never been able to write a check for thar much money bake in my younger days
