I just got a rear bagger for my BX25 and it comes with a PTO driven blower system. I noticed that the PTO shaft is a non sliding kind (all welded no way to extend or shorten) and of course it is about 3"'s too short for my BX. I was thinking that since the bagger bolts in place and can not move it really does not matter because the length won't be changing so should I just get an extender? If so I would like the kind that has the sliding pin, I didn't seen any at the local TSC is there a reason to not use this type? Any idea where I could find one ? Thanks

I just ordered one at the JD dealer today. It has a spring pin on the tractor side. Had to order it may be here in a couple days.

THANKS Xfaxman - I am looking for exactly that except a bit shorter - been searching and have not found it yet but there has to be one. THANKS for the link at least that gives me a name to search for!

Not familiar with the BX25 or the Bagger, but could you make a spacer at the mounting bolts to move it back enough to fit the adapter?

Never seen this before but the PTO shaft it welded to the main short of the bagging system then the other end connects to the rear of the tractor. Everything is super HD but in my case 2.5"-3" short. Makes it a bit of a pain. Ended up ordering the one you found and I can cut it down an inch if needed. The way it joins I will have plenty of splines to use. It is also a connection that does not slide at all because the bagger is a solid mount (not 3pt with movement) if that makes sense.
THANK you for locating that.

You're welcome. I found it with a search on Google Images.

Yep, should work if shortened, since the shaft doesn't have to lock in the groove.

If it's a fixed length, how do you connect it? Put the mounting bolts on after the PTO is connected?:confused3:

I think I would look at replacing pto shaft with one that does adjust have to agree it would be hard to install and if you raise or lower 3 point hitch if I remember geometry class wont shaft change length
