or anyone else living in/near the Knoxville area...aww heck... if you want to fly in from Calif... matters not to me /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Just thought I'd make mention to you that if you like fresh blueberries off the bush, they are coming in now and are ready to be picked. (by yourself or your slave labor /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif )

If you have an interest, you are invited/welcome to come by and pick all you want. We have probably 20 or so "bushes" and a ton of blueberries on them....and still have 1/2 of a large zip lock baggie left over from last year.

If you have any interest, send me a mesg and we'll go from there.

Richard,

Do you know what type of blueberry plants you have at your place? We are looking to plant some at our new place and I was surprised to see how many different varieties there were. Anyone else out there have a favorite type?

Have no clue what type, had no clue there were different types.

These are not "bushes' in what I would think of as traditoinal bush...

Each "bush" seems to actually be a cluster of stems growing from the ground. They may have the same root system, but it really seems as though each stem might also be it's own stem.

I noticed that last fall when I went in to prune them back & try to clear out some dead stuff.

All I really know is, small, round, juicy & tastey /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

About 40 or so years ago, when I was a kid, I planted a blueberry bush and a rose bush. 20 years ago, when my father's house burned down, I transplanted the rose and the blueberry bushes to my house. I had a bush full of roses and the blueberries are just starting to ripen. I expect to get at least 2 or 3 quarts of blueberries this year. The bush is loaded.
