Curious what size 3 point rear snowblower do you own? And 2300 RPM is not 540 I believe you're under running your snowblower and it's backing up 2500 RPM is 540 try that, in three years of using my 84 inch I've never once in midrange first gear had the snow back up or use the clutch to slowdown. 1500 foot driveway with storms leaving upwards of 28 inches of heavy snow, and at the top of the driveway state plow depositing a 4 foot wall never a problem, perhaps it's the size of snowblower being almost 34 inch cutting height or 28 inch fan or possibly increase PTO horsepower? I originally had a TC 40 DA hydrostatic transmission front snowblower 72 inch it through the snow further than my present setup smaller fan and faster rotation but with that transmission you would never overload it you could just slow down in a second and then pick right back up the only time I truly miss it is working around the barn yard with all the equipment parked in the lot take care
