I’m going to go with the utility version and if I’m unhappy with it this winter will trade it in on the commercial version. I am attracted by the additional 140 impeller rpm of the utility version as well as the 360lbs weight savings as well as that the L6060 is at the top of the power rating for the implement. The $2k is a nice savings too, but if I’m unhappy I’m sure it’ll cost me much more than that to upgrade to the commercial. Hopefully the utility is strong enough to power through 200” this season.

Good choice! You're not going to deal with all 200" at one time. These machines are all very heavy and durable. It will serve you well and you won't wear it out.

Wouldn’t have a rear blower if you gave it to me!

Front blower and heated cab. Only other option is a truck and plow and then pay someone to cut the banks back a couple times per year when I run out of room.

Yeah, these are both front blowers with heated cabs.

The utility version (L4479) showed up and it is a beast! Looking forward to trying it out this winter.

Rule 1---wider than your tracks.
Rule 2---bigger the fan, better the performance.

As to HP @ PTO, techniques can compensate for miss matching at the sacrifice of speed.
I know this is a thread about snow blowers but does this same kind of logic apply to other implements like flail mowers?
