JD 2210
Hi

Was looking at a few snowblowers for the 2210. Seems most dealers around here have the Buhler Allied or FarmKing, same blower as far as I know. Any coments on the Buhler brand and would a 50 or 60 inch be better. I would like about a 54 or 56 but Buhler don't make it and at 1150 for a 50 inch it seemed pretty reasonable. I only have about 200 feet of gravel drive so it wouldn't get real heavy use so I hate to spend a whole lot on one.

thanks for any coments
Phil

I've got the 47" front mounted blower from Deere. I did some research on how big a blower the 2210 would handle and the consensus was to go with the 47". I've not had the chance to use it yet so can't say if the machine will handle a larger one yet. I would guess it would but you would probably have to slow down quite a bit if the snow was heavy.

I'll post my findings on it as soon as it snows around here.

I have a 54 inch Puma on my BX2200 and had no problem with 2 feet of snow last winter. I think 60 inch may be a little too big. A cab is another good thing to have when snow blowing. I made one using a golf cart cover for about $125. Here is what it looks like.

Here the web site for Puma [ web page url=http://www.pronovost.qc.ca/puma.html][/url]

Thanks for the replies guys

I was trying to stay away from the front mount so I could leave the loader on and price wise they seem a bit more money, but I see they call for a 47 inch.

That Puma looks interesting thats about the size I would like, I would like something that covers ther rear wheels by a few inches. I've heard a lot of good things about the Pumas but haven't found a dealer around here yet. What kinda price range is that Puma in, I thought they were on the upper end.

thanks
Phil

I just bought a 64 inch Puma for $1795 in New Hampshire. The hydraulic chute rotator was an additional $200.

In May 02 I paid $1000 for the 54 inch unit, I think it goes for $1200-1300. I found a delaer in Mass, about 6 hours north of here, that wanted to move the unit so it did not sit on his lot all summer long. This time of year you will pay the full $$$ and then some.

The 3 pt snowblower and front FEL is a great snow removal system.

Good luck

I have the Puma and Allied Inland in stock. I personally am 110% for Puma over the Allied Inland blower. Better distance, more capacity and better height, What do you buy a blower for other then to move snow as far as we can! Look out Florida!

For anyone reading this thread, I have a Woods 60" rear mount 2 stage for sale.

It's listed in the TBYNet Classified section under accessories.

I am asking $1200.00 for it. I have used it about 5 times in the last 2 years. It is always stored inside in the warm weather months. It has a manual chute rotator and wide skid shoes. The chute and impeller are slip plated. You can run it with about 22 horsepower up to 35. It's too narrow for my 5030HSTC. I have a 76" Lucknow coming in.
