Is there any tractor made that can be operated with snowblower attachments at each end?

My little JD2305 has a selector to operate the mid-pto and rear pto simultaneously. Conceivably, you could mount both front and rear snowblowers. I wouldn't think that it would be a very cost effective method for snow removal.,,

My Massey is the same. Both PTO's can be operated at the same time.

Although I can see snowblowers installed on both ends of the tractor, I'm kind of curious if Boyd W intends to blow snow in both a forward and reverse gears...or if he intends to put a pull behind blower on the rear PTO.

Even then the rear would need to be offset or there would be nothing to blow.

Yeah...except for a bit missed by the front blower.
But using snow blowers in both forward and reverse doesn't seem too efficient either...that's not even factoring in the costs of two blowers.

It could be done by a few tractors with mid PTO's, like Deere, BX & B & Grand L Kubota but I wonder for what reason as Roy said it well it would not be cost effective. Not unless you have $$ to burn.

Most all newer subcompacts can use both ptos. This is often to power a MMM and rear grass collector. However I do not see any reason to run two snowblowers. Snowblower & bllade combo is a more common approach.

Why would you need both pto's at the same time?

I could see where blowers on both ends could be practical for certain applications, maybe commercial snow removal in tight parking areas with very heavy snow accumulation, like a condo complex, where there may be little room for maneuvering. but it would be blowing forward or blowing backward, not both at one time.

Cost wouldn't be a factor for commercial use, but I agree it would be impractical for private use.

Even with dollars to "blow" ???? Just like disc mowers in hay they have front and rear mount but one has to be offset. Actually they have a front mount and 2 rear mounts ... the rear mounts are offset left and right. Or am I missing something here???

The two snow blower rigs are common up here
in small rural municipalites doing long sidewalk
runs where they do a long sidewalk in two passes
with either snow caster doing the first pass to the
end and the opposite snow caster is then used in
the opposite direction.

All municipal side walks have to be ADA compliant
by design and are required to be wide for wheel chair
access and of course down to the concrete.

I believe the new sidewalks have to be a minimum of
6 feet wide???? so they have a lot of ground to cover
and mounting a snow caster on the front and rear solves
this issue quickly by simply moving to the left or right to
make the next pass in forward or reverse.

The snow casters have a longer service life as they only
work half as hard.

If you get the arrangement right can you suck and blow at the same time?

Don't forget to account for HP lost to the drivetrain of both blowers.

I think it would be cheaper to run hot water pipes under the driveway and heat it all winter!

I think with a pull type rear blower, you can blow snow in both forward and reverse. Erskine, I believe is the brand.

Not quite sure why one would utilize a blower in that manner.
