looking for advice. 1300 foot gravel driveway. What would be better for snow removal single stage or two stage blower?

Are you talking for your tractor or walk behind? I would go for a two stage. They can handle deeper snow than single stage. If walk behind, two stagers are also bigger and wider. I would also think a two stage would throw less rocks.

For gravel pretty sure you need a two stage blower - single stage blowers rotate at high speed and will fling gravel at high velocity I believe. That is certainly true for small walk behind blowers, I think same principal applies to a tractor blower but only ever seen two stage blowers in action at tractor sizes.

I've had a gravel driveway for 40+ years and have used single and dual-stage walk-behinds and more recently a tractor mounted 2-stage.

They ALL will fling gravel at high speed! If not careful. the two stage will gather gravel and rocks, feed them into the second stage impeller and fire them out the chute at high speed.

I would go so far as to say 2-stage blowers will throw gravel FARTHER than a single-stage.

I will be mounting this on a JD 2305 tractor.

Where in PA are you and how much snow do you get at a time?

A plow on the front of a truck or tractor would be a whole lot quicker. But have their limits, just depends on how much snow you get. If you havent exceeded those "limits" Id forget the blower

A 2 stage will do a better job and handle more snow better and faster IMHO.

for a 1300 foot gravel driveway in PA on that tractor I'd go with a front frame mount angle plow with a piece of pipe on the bottom to float on the gravel. Why do you want to use a blower?

It depends on how much snow you get. I've had both, on garden tractors and on a 2305. They both blow snow very well. The 2 stage is heaver and taller so it handles knee high wind packed snow a little better, but the single stage is not a wimp here either, it'll make you just as happy, but it will need a little more finesse. If you get the single stage, opt for the heavy duty feet. They wear much longer if you have any hard surfaces and they handle gravel better if you mistakenly get the cutting edge that low. With either one, get the optional spout control too!
