I wait until its all over...I'm not going anywhere :D

Be all powder here anyways

Dang but still waiting for the UPS to show too...package was shipped last Monday my order says

Wonder what they'll do this time

They wouldn't even drive in the 300 to my house feet last time and it was decently plowed. He parked on the town road and walked...well actually it was more like a jog up and back! :confused3:

I did my drive cause it was a wet heavy snow and its supposed to get very cold tonight. Will turn slush to ice with more snow on top. No thank you.

Same here in Iowa. Down below zero tonight. Cleaned drive earlier of heavy wet snow but will have to deal with drifted snow in morning.

So far I haven't had to plow the driveway. Got a couple inches, three weeks ago and it all melted in a day or so. Most we have ever received at one time was 24". I have no problem clearing that much with the tractor and rear blade.

Depends of the type of snow and the wind for me...if it's wet and heavy stuff I try to get it done midway...if it's the lighter stuff I wait...ESPECIALLY if it is very windy like it was yesterday...I had a drift FORTY TWO INCHES DEEP IN MY MAIN DRIVEWAY!!!! The lighter snows are easy to handle all at one time, my tractor can handle them even if really deep, but the heavy stuff will bog me down if it is over 18"-20" deep. Thankfully yesterday's was very fluffy stuff.

I try to wait until I have 12" or more snow to move as my snow blower doesn't do a very good job with a few inches only. The deeper snow in the driveway (snow drift is several places) always blows well, whereas the shallower sections, not so well. I have an open station tractor so I try and keep the snow blowing to a minimum - I have a TPL rear push blower and always get covered when clearing snow.

I use to wait for it to finish but now that I have a cab I will do it after 6 or 8 inches, or if drifting badly which has been the case with the last couple storms . The heated cab has been a life saver this year as I have been out in very cold, windy weather this year .

Yesterday's 6" of snow was too wet & heavy to leave on when the forecast was for near 0 last night. I pushed it off before noon; HPIM1486.jpg HPIM1489.JPG Wasn't enough snowfall afterwards to worry about.

Went out to scoop the snow off the trailers this morning, hard & crusty, pretty tough scooping!
