ruff dog - but one thing for certain - snow is snow. Temps have dropped to 34F and it's STILL snowing.

It was 33 here at midnight, snowing/raining hard at midnight coming almost horizontal, not sticking. This morning ground was white and temp still 33. Off and on spitting snow/rainn. Supposed to dry up tomorrow and stay that way the rest of the week.

I see we broke a record for most precip in themonth of September, IIRC the amount was .89 inches. They call this area 'dry-land farming' for a good reason.

That sure sounded like climate to me, 1928 vs 2019. There is no doubt that glaciers are retreating and have been for 100 years of more. Can we do anything about it, I seriously doubt that we can change the earths climate changing. It has cycled between cold and warm since the beginning of time, at least that is what the archaeologist say. The artic was once a jungle otherwise there couldn't be oil under all that ice.

I agree with an earlier poster. Let's keep dthat subject over in the political section. No one is going to change their mind no matter was the science shows.

Arlyn - a picture from your trip up north?

No, that was taken 1.5 hours south of us at a NFS campground where we camped and worked on trails. We are still processing photos of our trip to northern MN for the dogs blog and "might" get some added tonight. Editing photos does take time... :(

Got 3 inches here in north idaho. Starting to melt away now

We had about an inch. It's all gone now. Rain and 36F took care of it.

No snow here yet but just a day ago I needed to scrape the ice off of my windshield, Brrr!
Worst is I am on waterfront and the humidity is bone chilling.

Generally we get some 120 inches of snow annually but with 'global warming' we expect more freezing rain and sleet.
Not exactly looking foreword to this winter.

Umm, there's no Ontario 100 miles south of Houghton, MI. That would be Wisconsin. Maybe you meant north?

If you draw a horizontal line due east of Houghtan, MI, you will find that it intersects with Temagami, ON. I am about 100 miles south of Temagami.
Maybe I should have said South East.
