Snow Blade

/ Snow Blade #21
When the ground is not frozen, wet snow alone will pick up gravel and the shoes on my plows will trench a soft driveway.. Sorry to hear that the metal pipe does not work for you. A while ago, I tried PVC as a test and it seemed to work ok for one season. I then did black iron pipe and it worked ok for the 2 times I used it but then I sold that tractor and plow.

I plow 3-4 parking spaces that are small crushed limestone. The wheels help tremendously, as I can curl the blade back onto the wheels and keep it anywhere from 0 to about 6" above the gravel. I also plow my neighbor's gravel driveway. It's about 110' long. Same deal, just curl it back so it rides a couple inches off the ground.

I use a poly cutting edge that is 1 1/2" thick and you don't use shoes or pucks or wheels on asphalt but on stone I use the weight transfer and it doesn't dig in on stone.... jim
