I have bought new blades and plow bolts for these projects and these run about $25/ft. Ought to last me quite a while.

Yeah.. Id better get on my horse and pick up the blades. He was selling them for either $50 or $100 for a six foot length, either is a good deal. I think they were 6 inches wide..

OP has a heavy disk and section harrow if I recall in his post. If he has the power to pull them (and turning area) I would hook them together and disk/harrow at the same time. If the hills have a definite orientation, go 45 degree over them then alternated with 45 degrees in the opposite direction, then make a pass 90 degrees to the hills. This should get them in pretty good shape. If not repeat the process by travelling in a 45 degree plane to the high spots. Pulling a large log behind the whole shebang would drag a lot of dirt into low spots also similar to what a landplane would do.

Of course once you got it all levelled out, you would need to reseed it.

Birdman is right on . Kill the vegetation first . Wait till it turns to dust. Disc with chain harrow behind. A plane is nice , but a box blade will work. Extend top link a bit , fill it up with dirt , open a beverage , and start driving around .If you have rocks or stumps this will leads to more beverages.
