Hydro One's new SmartStat Program
Does anyone have anything like this?
They are giving them away. The rub is they will use it to turn the AC up 2 degrees during heavy use periods in summer from 2:00 to 6:00 PM. That's not really a big deal for me. We don't use the AC much and when we do I like it set to mid to high 70s anyway. Otherwise I find that it doesn't feel like summer at all.
The bonus is you can control the temp from the web. I'd like to relocate the unit to my cottage so I can turn the heat on in winter before I make the three hour drive.
I like to hear from anyone who has knowlege of similar web enabled devices.
