Small generators

Funny timing, A buddy called at supper time to say he just obtained 2 ea 3-4 kilowatt generators at salvage prices and am I interested. (he suggested $3-$400)
Anxious to see what he has to offer.
Might just be able to 'whole house' have a setup.
At present I manage with my 6 KW as long as I have lots of wood for heat in my slow combustion stoves but sure be nice to be able to have hot water as well as baseboard heat.

I have had the Yamaha EF2400iSHC for about only six months now . They are pricey like a little over $1300 . I got mine for way less . My first Yamaha . Just have used it in remote area's with corded heavy power tools . I like it , one start pulls , sips fuel . I took off covers to peak inside , looks to be extremely well made . Mine has a fuel guage on it .

I finally got around to trying all 3x A-iPower inverter generators in parallel.

Started and ran the air compressor just fine. Even with ECO mode on.

Then I tried it again with just the 2x 2300W. Didn't work before, but it works now. Even in ECO mode.

Then I tried it with a 2300W and 2000W. Also worked. Even in ECO mode.

I don't know what the difference is between now and when I tried before. Warmer day? More hours on the SUA2300i's?

One 2300W generator won't start it though.

Pics show roughly 1/3 amps coming from the SC2000i when all 3 are powering the air compressor.



I'm kind of guesstimating the trio can output around ~5200W starting and around ~4100W running, although the breaker will probably limit me to ~3600W (30A).
