I am picking up a new SeaArk 1652 sevi-V this week. It will be my duck boat in the fall and I'll fish out of it the summer. I looked around a lot on CL but never really found a nice wide one. I wanted something really stable for hunting so the wider the better. I also got a 35hp Gator Tail surface drive motor, so it will be great to run in the shallows.

That is awesome! I live close to Cheyenne Bottoms near Great Bend Ks. That would be perfect.

I'm now down to a simple 12ft aluminum boat with several motors... 6hp Merc, 2hp Honda and an old min kota. Had to sell our pleasure boat to put my daughter to college... that and the fact that I live on saltwater now and it was a lake boat. Someday I will get a boat big enough to comfortable eat/sleep aboard and small enough to easily crab, shrimp, fish, etc. Sounds like 32ft to me! :D

My dad found this old Sears ten foot, plastic row boat at a garage sale for $100 twenty years ago. He dragged it around behind his RV for awhile, on top of his tow car, but rarely used it. Then for awhile my brother used it to fish, and now I have it sitting around the edge of my pond. My wife and I use it to fish half a dozen times a year. Mostly we just fish from the shore.

I've replaced the oar locks twice. The newest ones are the heavy duty,, most expensive ones from Amazon. I found it impossible to find them at any stores in town.

I've seen quite a few of those boats around here with a couple seats and a trolling motor. Usually just tossed in the back of a pickup truck. It does the function!

So, what's the fishing pole on the tower for? Set line for those hogs, or retrieve the zip line?

If I had my druthers.... I'd rather have a 14' jon or semi-v like that. But, the price was exactly right on what I got, so I'm not complaining. ;)

Hopefully going fishing again tomorrow.

OK, so here's my little rowboat. 1974 Sea Nymph 14'.

Don't comment on my deluxe boat trailer....

Got the anchor mate's loosened up and free spinning. Two anchors are nice on a breezy day. Center swivel seat is comfortable for rowing. Adjusted just right so I can brace my feet against the bottom of the rear seat when rowing or put my feet up on the rear seat when relaxing.

New rubber expandable drain plug leaks just a tad. Maybe a pint of water in 4-5 hours. I think I'll coat it with some Vaseline and see if that stops it.

Got some sun, fresh air and caught a few fish, too. Sandhill cranes and geese flying over all day.

I have the same boat you have , mine is listed as a 14 foot but actually measures 13.5 feet.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news , but get that pressure treated wood off there as fast as you can, It will eat the transom off the boat. A web site called Iboats has good info on such things.
I just replaced the wood on the transom on mine also , I used mfd but coated it with gluvit which is an epoxy , I haven't had mine in the water yet, but I am sure it will be a lot more stable than a 12 foot sears boat that I have had for a couple years, 2 people a 5hp. motor ,gas can and trolling motor ,battery , and a little gear and it seamed overloaded, this one is a foot wider and foot and a half longer , so should be a lot better.

I am just finishing up a trailer for it, so hopefully I will still go fishing yet this year. lot of lakes close to me and some open year around.

Have fun, stay safe.

The pressure treated wood will eat the aluminum?
