Small Fishing Boats.... whatcha got?

I hope I didn't come off as a know it all, but I had just been through the same thing ,and was going to use treated also until I started to read a lot of bad stuff on treated and aluminum.
the picture on the flat bed made me laugh because that's how I brought mine home, when I bought it.
but I had a street light pole on the trailer from an auction, that I had just picked up, so it was a strange looking load.
Mine is about the same vintage
sea nymph , the drain plug in mine is a screw in plug with a rubber washer. It is a straight thread not tapered, about 3/4 inch, don't know where Id ever find another one if I lost it.

My drain plug is 1". Common at any Walmart, marina, etc...

OK, so here's my little rowboat. 1974 Sea Nymph 14'.

Don't comment on my deluxe boat trailer.... :laughing:

Got the anchor mate's loosened up and free spinning. Two anchors are nice on a breezy day. Center swivel seat is comfortable for rowing. Adjusted just right so I can brace my feet against the bottom of the rear seat when rowing or put my feet up on the rear seat when relaxing.

New rubber expandable drain plug leaks just a tad. Maybe a pint of water in 4-5 hours. I think I'll coat it with some Vaseline and see if that stops it.

Got some sun, fresh air and caught a few fish, too. Sandhill cranes and geese flying over all day.

Looks just like mine, complete with the plastic seat in the middle. I took the seat off and just slide the boat onto the lumber rack on my pickup, hook the travel trailer to the receiver hitch, and head out to go duck hunting or fishing. I have an old Montgomery Ward 8 hp Sea King outboard about 50 years old that still runs fine.

Its only 115 hp, but a 5 bladed High Five prop makes it launch like a drag car.
