To all Hello,
I am a novice at this form of media so forgive my mistakes and ignorance. I use my tractor loader for any heavy work as I am fairly busted up from lifes reminders that I'm getting old and the scars cover up broken stuff.

I have to finish a retaining wall of Manor Stone concrete blocks and the weight is bustin' my knees down. So I thought I could drop the bucket from the backhoe and install a rotator and small stone or material handling grapple. And then I found there may be such an arrangement out there but some body is hording and hiding them.

If you can aim me toward some manufactures or stores for a grapple to lift a 6" x 18" x 12" block and with a lift capacity below several tons (500 lbs is more than enough) I would be obliged. Ideally I wont to grab the block, hoist it, seing into position and set it-roughly from the seat. Just like moving timber but on a smaller scale. I found many makers and models but the smallest was still made for timber stacking-too big. Thanks

Has anyone found this type of item adapted to a Woods BH70X backhoe?
In place of the 16" bucket?

This is what I found and have used it alot since the big blow here a few months back. It is about 24" wide and has served me well. The best part is that it cost $760 plus shipping. I couldn't buy a solid thumb for that.

Real cute
BUT - LINKS, MFG??

/edit - my thumb cost $350. What I really liked about the other was the rotator capability.

Check out hud-son.com. Lots of neat stuff. Grapples, rotators, etc. Too bad we all don't have a bucket of money!!!
