I've seen a few posts about sloppy tie-rod ends. If you have sloppy tie rod ends (especially on older equipment and trucks), check out Luke's Link. It's basically a rebuild kit for the ball joint. If parts are no longer available or cost prohibited, check out this product. I have a 1975 Ford F-250 4x4 (highboy) with a one-piece steering link joining the knuckles across the front of the axle. A new one would cost me several hundred dollars. I happened across Luke's Link in Farm Show magazine several years ago. Two kits (one for each end) was about $60 (if I remember right, may be more now). My old truck never felt so solid in the steering department since I rebuilt the rod ends.

Disclaimer: I am in no way affiliated with Luke's Link or am compensated for saying this. I found the product in an ad in Farm Show and ordered two kits. I am very satisfied and wish to pass on this info to others.
