Backhoe sloppy backhoe

My guess would be that you have air in the hose, which is what is allowing it to compress and drop the boom. You can rebuild the valves, kits are available from kubota. You do need to remove all the hoses and take the control unit off to make the repair, not difficult, just time consuming.

I would also like to find a manual if they exist. Are the valves rebuildable?

I have a operator's & parts manual for this backhoe. it's about 55 pages long and over half are parts diagrams (exploded views) I could scan a few pages and post them up if it would help you out. I could also photo copy the whole thing and mail it to you if you want to reimburse me for photocopying & postage.

I have a BL4590 and it's jerky side to side. I'm sure some of it is operator inexperience. I don't use it much and have learned to live with it.
