Does anyone have a line on slewing rings?
Preferably use or old. Inexpensiveis th key here.

Maybe 12" OD. No gears needed...

Yep I found all the standard fare folks doing a search, I just don't want to pay full dollar.
Someone has a pile of them laying around, I just need to find that person!

Any junkyards with a scrapped excavator?
Any heavy equipment service places that might have one?
What diameter/axial load/trunion load are you looking for?
Lazy susan or battleship barbette?

I worked for TLT Babcock, and we tossed a LOT of very good bearings that were tear outs of BIG fans, they were radial & axle load bearing "bearings" & I kept saying I need to grab some of these (went into scrap hoppers) but never did. Ended up leaving the job after 2 years and never took one home. I did bring home some round rollers out of some of the bearings only because they were chrome 2" solid hardened steel bearings. I was going to make a couple big SS balls for some "danglers" & actually made a couple of the "Clackers" like ya see on the executive desks in a fancy office. Problem was trying to get them setting right and the weight of 5 or 6 of them together would bend fine wire holding them. :D

I still have a couple of them and use them in the hands to exercise the fingers rolling them around your hand is a good workout!
