Battle scars I have plenty of. This tractor only has 240 hours but looks like it has 1500. It is hard to be careful not to scratch the paint and be productive. In addition, spending any amount of time in the woods means bent sheet metal and scratches. I will have to buy a second tractor for the parades.
This reminds me of a friend that I happened to be at his house when he brought home a brand new pickup truck. He opened the tailgate and threw in a concrete block . I watched it bounce around in the bed of the truck scratching and denting the new paint. He then said "Well that is over with, don't have to worry about the first scratch anymore". The truck was going to be used on the farm and be a work truck. My tractor is a work tractor that I will maintain mechanically to a high degree but cosmeticly will not worry about. My truck though is a different story, that is why I have a trailer.
