skid steer quick attach or not?

Looking at a 4r series tractor, those of you that have loaders on 3 or 4 series tractors, do you like the skid steer quick attach over the pin on attachments?

I had pin on bucket on my tractor for years, and regretted it ever since purchasing. Several years ago, I switched to a SSQA system. It's been great. I actually use forks and a forestry grapple n my loader now.

BTW, I like the true SSQA better than the JD proprietary quick attach system. My neighbor has the JD system on his tractor, and as a result, we cannot share attachments. The SSQA is more universal, so a greater chance you can swap equipment between other tractors.

JD does not even offer a "pin-on" option in the larger tractors, so your choice is the JDQA, SSQA, or the euro/global carriers.

In a 4-series, I agree that SSQA is the best option, but for 3-series and smaller I think the JDQA is the best.

A loader without QA is like a truck with the doors welded shut. Don’t buy it any other way. The JDQA is probably better in the application it’s used than SSQA but the pool of available implements for SSQA is a lot bigger. I would go with SSQA because I enjoy the freedom to buy used implements or rent something I can’t justify buying. If you only intend on buying new implements and never renting or borrowing implements then the JDQA is probably fine.

What is it about the JD quick attach that you like better in this application? It's been a while since I looked closely at one, but I did not notice anything "better", it was just different. On the other hand, I was not really looking to make a comparison at the time.

I've just a bucket and set of forks for my 430 FEL and prefer the JD design rather than a more cumbersome SSQA used on the skidsteers. For the size of my FEL, there are no other attachments such as those used on the skidsteers with hyd. hookup that are of any use to me.

The lighter weight and tighter package of the JD design are preferred.

But no problem with anyone else using what they want....just saying....

I don’t like it better because it really limits your implement choices but I think it’s a lighter and simpler design.
