Skid Steer Bale Spear

Hello...

We have got a john deere 325. We have a bale spear but never use it. I am goin to help the "crazy ol' farmer" across the hill and need to learn how to use them. How do you see past the bale? do you lift it? thanks.

The JD 325 is plenty of machine to handle bales, you have a 5000 pound tipping load so you are going to be able to fly with a bale. Not a problem with that size SS. KennyV
PS... The D series looks to be very NICE with a lot of features both in SS and CTL...

Saw one at the dealer INCREDIBLE machine I want one with foot controls though

Stay low, don't lift till your ready to stack or drop it in the feeder. The extra weight changes the center of gravity, expecially on slopes. And being "a little crazy" is a requirement to be a farmer. Farmers know stuff. At least that's what my Grandaughter tells me.
