Skid plate

Has anybody ever made a skid plate for there tractor? Seems to me most problems are caused by tree limbs getting stuck underneath or hitting rocks. At least for me. I wonder if i make a skid plate if it will void my warranty. What you guys think?

I cannot see why a well designed skid plate would void a warranty as long as you did not "design" a problem into it
