Simplicity legacy 1997 Blade adjustments?

I have a 1997 Legacy with a 60 inch deck.I have the operation manual and I'am confused about the blade height adjustments. The manual says to adjust the blades about 1/8 to 1/4 inch higher in the front than in the rear of the blade.If I try doing this with the large nuts on the 2 long adjusting rods on the deck for doing this, the front nut is just about at the end of travel towards the front of the tractor on both rods.I thought the blades were higher in the rear then the front by about the same measurements as above.I have adjusted the side to side and that comes out within 1/8 of each other.

I too thought that the front was always 1/8th lower... Hope someone can clarify this...
