Simple Tool For Operating Hydraulic Couplers

I'm not getting any younger and with some arthritis in my hands, I made up this tool for opening hydraulic couplers from a Vice Grip welding clamp:

It took about 10 minutes with a grinder to open the jaws to fit my 1 3/8" Pioneer couplers.

I'm sure this isn't anything new here but since the tool is on sale at Harbor Freight for $10 thru 8/19, I thought I'd post it again.

I used my 6" cordless DeWalt grinder. It took a full battery to do the job. It would have taken longer but the Chinese aren't that good at hardening their tool steel.

Those hydraulic couplings are a bit diabolical, you need vise-grip hands.
