Has anyone else noticed how many reg. users there are with '0' post ? Don't bother trying to count them. There are 2233. Just about a week ago, that was half of the reg. users on TBN. /w3tcompact/icons/hmm.gif
Yeah, I know, I need to get a life. There just isn't very much to do around here at 3am. I don't think that my neighbors would like it if I fired up a tractor this early. If all of these 'silent users' weren't silent, I would never be able to keep up with all of the post. Maybe their being silent is a good thing.

Having too much time on your hands to check out TBN can be a bad thing.

Last time that happened to me, I posted a Post "Users Who Don't Post" under news. I got fryed for suggesting to dump all the lurkers.

What I didn't realise is that lurkers turn into proper members eventually.

Jump right in I say.

PS - I posted a post only today about stats (number of posts) so I have done enuf stat watching for one day.

Cheers

I wouldn't say you need to get a life, just lay off the coffee! /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

You might just have something there. I am quite a coffeeaholic. /w3tcompact/icons/eyes.gif Since I work until 12:30am, it is kind of quiet around here in the wee hours of the am.

Maybe you are too polite. My neighbor has his fired up at 5 AM, while you are still sleeping. No wonder he hasn't heard of TBN!

Nice thing about my place, the neighbors wouldn't notice unless I blow my tractor up./w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

We used to live next to a guy who ran a Jeep 'Build-Up' business out of his garage. He would be up all hours of the night. You could hear the air-gun going, or the sound of a wrench dropping well past 2Am. I never minded though, being a bit of a gearhead when I was younger.

We also used to live across from a horsefarm that raised trotters. One of the tracks was right across the street. At least once a week the old man there would drive his tractor, leveling the pea gravel, all night long. Again, this didn't bother me since the view was very nice.

We have since moved to where I would have to listen real hard to hear any neighbors.

You ain't seen nuthin' until you fire up a corn chopper at 6:00 a.m. The neighbors LOVE IT!!! (wink. wink).

Hey, Frank, how old was the guy? It really doesn't matter, I'm just checking to see where I stand.

6am wouldn't be too bad around here. My neighbors have gotten up and are getting ready to go to work by then. But then, that is about the time that I go to bed./w3tcompact/icons/hmm.gif

I know that feeling. When I first moved to NC, I rented a house that sat out on the end of a knoll. Right on the end of it. Down below me, about 100yd straight down was my neighbors garden. About two acres. He only worked in it at night. He started out in early spring plowing with a mule. I could hear it every time the plow hit a rock. All night long. Then it got really good. He used a tiller without a muffler for the next month or so. No muffler but some how he had a headlight rigged up on it. I worked days back then and got very little sleep. Strange thing is,, when he was finished gardening it was so quiet that I could hardly get to sleep. /w3tcompact/icons/hmm.gif I guess that I kind of got used to the noise every night.

Ed,

Same drill.
I wonder if they would even notice that!
