In my opinion, signatures should be text only. The place for images is one's avatar and/or Profile picture.

When I tried this before with a link. The site shut down access to the picture because of to many hits.

Makes sense. Every time someone looks at one of your posts, assuming they have Display Signatures turned on, that web site has to be contacted to show your graphic.

Personally, I do not have a signature and I do not display avatars nor signatures.

Your right Dave. Just looked at FAQ.

After you have registered, you may set your signature. This is a piece of text that you would like to be inserted at the end of all your posts, a little like having headed note paper.

Look like its the little puppy for my Avatar.
