Has anyone tried using a side dump bucket on a larger compact tractor? Most of those I've seen are designed for skid steers like the one pictured.

I realize there is a stability issue with using an implement like this on a fully raised compact tractor FEL. Also, the frame may not be designed to handle a heavy side load . The use I had in mind was to dump shot rock or rip rap over the edge of a bank. I'm building a terrace and don't have enough room to dump forward. The work wouldn't require the bucket to be more than a couple of feet off the ground. Anyone have any experience or advice?

I wonder I fit would be easier to build a mobile chute that you can dump into with your standard bucket.

I have an old 550 gal fuel oil tank I thought about cutting in half lengthwise for that purpose. The fabrication time to mount it on something movable would be a consideration though. The side dump bucket could be used for applying mulch in the future so it would be a multitask implement.

Thanks for your suggestion though.
