I used to prefer a lawn that was cut free of any sort of striping. Lately though, my new combo of a Hustler Fastrak zero turn mower and a lawn sweeper has been leaving some pretty nice looking stripes and I think I'm a convert to lawn striping.

Over at the Scag website they have the section called "Show Your Stripes" for owners to post pictures of their lawn stripes so I figured we should have one here at TBN since I bet I'm not the only one here doing this. I'll get us started.

Why did someone plant a garden in the middle of the golf course fairway? Good grief, you can't even see the green with the tree in the way-between the garden hazard and the tree, what's par for this hole???

Just kidding-looks great! Have you got a GPS guidance system on that Scag to make those straight lines???

Nice job. How did you get those straight lines??? I've been using ZTR mower for 4 years now and can't get any closer than yours... And when the kids do the mowing... forget about the lines . Guess your not using ZTR?

Thanks for the compliments guys. I get the straight lines by basically using the side of the garden as a straight edge for my first line and then work the left side of the yard and then come back to where I started and work the other side.

Anyone else have some stripes they want to show?

Not my own yard, it is going get cut this weekend I hope. This one of the people I mow for, I use his 60" Toro Z-Master. Mower beats you to death, but it does lay a good stripe!

Mpking,

If I am to understand this correctly (and please forgive my ignorance since I am not familiar with the Hustler brand) your stripes are 'created' by a sweeper and not necessarily rollers on the mower deck? If so, wow...those are nice looking stripes.

Here is a few of our lawn when it was just starting to get dry. It looks much better now since we have had 4 inches of rain in the last 10 days. We have a Simplicity Broadmoor which has rollers along the entire back side of the deck.
