Forklift platforms are common and used safely everyday. For tractors the the hazards of off road and usually dangerous operation of construction, maintenance or tree work are many. Telehander type baskets closest comparison.

Probably a good argument to never have personal on a tractor FEL. I’ve done it in a bucket or pallet and looking for something safer. Sturdy handrails for off road use. Ssqa mount vs forklift pockets? High traction floor? Chainsaw or tool holders? Size? Fall protection equipment?

Don’t see anyone marketing a platform specific for tractor type work. Probably more legal than engineering challenges. I’ll end up modifying or making something.

I use an IBC tote, chained to the fork attachment. Cut the center of one side a bit for access, and have a chain across that too.

I also use a IBC tote, I cut a door and put a safety chain across it. how do you get in the tote if you are working alone?

Like JC, I have an IBC tote that will be used as a platform. I plan on using ratchet straps to cinch it on. Looking at adding one of those 3/4" equine mats that Tractor Supply sells for a bottom on top of a piece of plywood.

I only seen totes with bottles till in them. Pretty strong removing bottle after cutting a door? Need extra reinforcement? 275 or 330 gallon better? Local place sells cages and different prices of totes depending on condition. Looks like a pretty good option.

We have a IBC tote we use also.... We use 2 heavy ratchet straps to secure it to forks...

if you want to look at a marketed platform for that use they are readily available all over the place.

Very interesting... Begs the question, how do you operate the lift, tilt of the man basket platform remotely, ie, while in the basket? Thank you

I'm two ways on these. Love to have one, and having used the bucket as a "man" lift, but after having a hose blow on my FEL and it dropping so fast that it looked like i'd bungeed it to the ground, i'd be less likely to modify my FEL so that it didn't drop like a ton of bricks, to the ground, so less likely to use the FEL as a "man" lift.

the IBC tote manlift is a 2 person shindig, one working up in the bucket, the other running the tractor/fel and taking pictures for the internet lol
