shibaura sd2203 indcator light

I have an old blue sd2203 and the indicator light at the top center of the cluster is on. It has a picture of an arrow pointing downward thru a line and the tail of the arrow above the line has dots within it. Can anyone tell me what the indicator denotes?

Thanks Buck! I figured it had something to do with the hydraulics since the fel and 3pt have ceased operating. From your reply to an earlier thread I am assuming that mine does not have a filter (can't see one) but a screen. My question would be, can one install an inline filter to ease in maintenance for this condition in the future?

Hey Buck, thanks for your help and kindness yesterday on the phone. Here's my question...I cleaned the cartridge filter and still no luck with the hydraulics. I read a post that mentioned a strainer screen to the pickup line located at the tranny. Upon insoection it appears as though the fitting is a large banjo bolt arrangement. Do you think there is indeed a strainer at that location as well?

no, Shibaura sdxxxx models sometimes require a little help to get the fluid flowing. In fact most have a primer fill nut on the filter housing where you fill it with oil. at the same time loosen any fitting on the highressure side. be carfull when it takes off it will shoot oil everywhere

well---replaced the pump with the broken shaft and when I started the tractor the pump primed like a dream---only thing is the warning light is still on and I already cleaned the filter---could it be a faulty pressure differential sensor or can the filter reclog that quickly? also the original problem with the fluid leaking from the o-rings on the joystick control continues, anyone familiar with a bulldog 285 fel and can tell me what size o-rings are used on the joystick?
