When dead Ash meets car on the road. Luckily the driver is ok.
We have a large tree drop on a road here about 2 times per month now, many times big enough to cover both lanes and take out power.
This was about a mile from my house. Last one was 2 miles away. Talk about road hazards.
Amazing how much damage a little bug can do.
Picture from our local police.

We had similar happen about 400ft from our driveway.

Tree came down across the road and got the power line as well. It came down in front of a car at the last second, so the vehicle struck it.

Pretty sure the driver was OK since the ambulance came and just sat up the hill blocking the road until they could saw the tree and remove it from the road.

A tow truck came for the car.

It happened while I was at work, and my wife's not as nosy as I am. So that's all she could see when she walked the pooch

Your screen name is Bennett3456 but your profile photo shows an "M"
I could've sworn that post showed up under MasseyRider's name very early this morning. Not sure what's up with the name change, that appeared after he posted in the wee hours.

Maybe a bot impersonating him, or more likely, Massey hiding from one of his many ex-girlfriends. :p

You could see that vertical log compressing and splintering. The backwoods bridges that you see are just barely hanging on. That driver should have known better. Aw hell she'll hold, just roll slow and steady!! Famous last words
I'm thinking about 25 to 30 m.p.h. it would have made it. I'm 100% sure it would have made it at 50+

Some speed would have helped! It appears that bridge had been supported by that log for quite some time, but some preventative maintenance was past due.
The one guy doing the video had some doubts.

It's amazing how stupid some people really are, when you see stuff like this. Yeah, let's reduce the surface over which all that weight is exerted to just four small 3.5 inch squares, and then stand it up on top of some 18 or 20 gauge sheet metal... no problem! Even if just regular KD lumber, the psi at those four contact points where the timbers cross the bed rails is going to be substantial.

Then we'll just use one strap to hold it on. Too bad sides of the pickup bed was in the way so that we couldn't lay it flat on the floor...

Your post shows that you use a common sense and a thought process while doing something.
In today's society there are so many lacking what we know as common sense.

Their parents let them vegetate.
The kids that grew up doing nothing but holding a video game Joystick are grown up and trying to think. And failing!
Stack it up high and roll the truck
