lol... the debate over what constitutes a "boat" versus a "ship" has probably raged for more than 500 years, with every industry, culture, and even company having their own dividing line. The one I outlined above is supposedly used by the US Navy, at least according to one source I came across, but I am sure there are others.

Having heard many arguments on why one should be called one thing, versus the other, I actually think this is as good a way to distinguish them as any other I have heard.

Ah, they are all big gray boats in the danged Navy.

Looks like the trailer high-centered over a crown; possibly the truck was trying for a U-turn but there's a large gradient change between the side road and the main highway.

Yep, she's high centered just past the drive axles! Might have even taken the weight off the fifth wheel.

Boats can be carried on ships. A ship cannot be carried on a boat..

Easy to get it out of there. Pop the linkage off the leveling valve on the tractor rear suspension, hold the lever up so the suspension inflates raising the front of the trailer. drive it back to level ground and reinstall the leveling valve linkage. Even if you had to break the linkage, it would be cheaper to repair than the cost of a tow truck bill. Way back in my driving days, I helped a few guys out that way, two of them that were stuck in RR crossings. If the truck has spring suspension, you'll need a pull.
