Speaking of steering trailers, I assume they still use hook and ladder fire trucks with a rear driver steering the back end.

4WS has been done multiple times over the years including currently. The advantage is better control on the freeway and better maneuvering at low speeds. They work like others have said - steer same direction at speed and countersteer at low speed. It is complex and expensive - the downside.

A lot of states have a law to turn on your lights when it’s raining. It just doesn’t sink in to some people. I originally wasn’t a fan of daytime running lights but have changed my mind since at least the headlights will be on for people that won’t turn their lights on.

My '19 Jeep Cherokee has daytime running lights, but using the wipers automatically turn on the "regular" lights.

I don't understand why people buy a car marching the color of other drivers' dirty mirrors.
I surprised myself when buying a dark gray car after having had mostly white and easily visible ones.

Of course, having a light color wasn't nearly as important after leaving SoCal and having much lower temps. But the real reason was for it to be more stealth, flying under the radar at least figuratively speaking.

Many prefer the very eye catching colors that Challengers came in, which in my case would've likely resulted in several tickets by now. It does have DLRs so it can be seen, yet doesn't stand out, and I feel that it's partially my job to make others aware of that I'm there.

I recall the 2019 AAA report stating the most hit and accident prone vehicle color is B-L-A-C-K.

It's not IF your black vehicle will be in an accident, it's a matter of time when it does.

Ditto. I went Granite Crystal Metallic, or whatever they were calling the metallic dark gray. As aggressive as the styling is in those cars, you don’t need anything that calls even more attention.

Yep, Granite and debadged makes it blend in. This one was bought off the lot and I would've never thought to order stripes on it, but have really taken a liking to them. Kind of like ghost flames, they're there while far from obvious.

Probably should point out that this is not its natural habitat. Normally it doesn't get to see curbs, stop lights, etc., just twisty 2-laners.
