I never understand how destroying your trailer, your pickup, and/or the load PLUS the danger and the chance of a ticket, . . . . is cheaper than hiring a tow truck or having it hauled??????
Wow.

I asked a friend that works as a CalTrans engineer whats with all the new lane stripping and signal lights with yellow borders added to the shroud… he said it’s to enhance the ability to detect for motorists and self driving…
I said what about all the bike lane striping and trafficators going in especially in areas where bikes are never seen and likewise it’s to establish visible demarcation…
These retroreflective bordered backplates – yellow reflective strips placed around the perimeter of traffic signals – increase traffic signal visibility during morning hours, at night, or during a loss of power.

I know it is easier to drive forwards onto a trailer but the weight of most cars and especially unladen trucks is at the front. Trailers need to be properly balanced and tongue weight has to be kept in the 10-15% area. Gooseneck and 5th wheel can have higher at 15-30% but the tow vehicle needs to be able to also take that weight.
