I think they may used the bumper and ball instead of hitch receiver. All I can think of.

That was my first thought also, yet still wouldn't make the frame fail. If anything the bumper would let go first.

That is a newer Ram and the hitch receiver would of been standard from the factory. Actually the receiver is the bumper and the bumper is almost cosmetic sheet metal Unless they changed it I can't remove the receiver without removing the bumper because the bumper has no physical connection to the frame on my 2011. the whole thing is mounted to the receiver. And you cannot use the hole in the bumper to install a ball because the receiver is in the way to install the nut and washer.

Something's wrong with that picture. That load isn't more than 3 yards and shouldn't be able to make the frame fail like that.

Plus it's centered in the trailer. There is more to that story. That didn't cause it just from loading.

I would guess the hopper gate failed.

Wow. Sometimes a tiny pile of ground in a trailer doesn’t look like much. But man they got a good load in that trailer
