Just now the news says they got the stern pushed over near the bank so shipping can get by.

That little excavator is going to need several more like it to dig the bow out of the bank in any reasonable time.

I wonder -Would the prop wash from several tugs pulling the bow away from the bank, move enough sand to re-float it?

Earlier I posted that I read that the ship blocking Suez Canal had been moved to the side. No. Its still there. This is turning into an extremely expensive event as a significant portion of world trade is paused. Normal traffic there is 50 large ships each day.

150 ships in queue...may take weeks to clear the ship, which grounded due to strong winds.

So 20,000 containers...x 150 ships...3 million containers...somebody in France is not going to get their Happy Meal toy!

Saw this on the news. It’s a huge problem. They can’t seem to figure out how to move the enormous ship.
