Truck tires are legal. You will notice a slight loss of stability due to less stiff sidewalls. But most ST tires these days are garbage. All are made in CHINA. I ran All Terain TAs on my travel trailer. I pull it in winter over mountain passes. It is much more stable and stops better in the snow. Also I run a lot in states with 75 and 80 MPH speed limits. They are rated for more than that.

Truck tires are legal.

It all depends on their load and speed rating. If a truck tire has the same rating of higher as the trailer is licensed for, you're good.

I have one that arrives late at night and gone by 6am

No issues... might even be a deterrent having him around.

If the camps were clean I know they would be better received... even having an abundance of waste cans is no guarantee of being used.

And they don't handle speed well. I have had at least 1 fail every trip to CA via UT. The last time 2 failed on the same trip. So I got the BFG All Terrain TAs. That was 4 years ago and 9 of those trips. They are still doing good. The Goodyears are trash. Some of the Chinese are better than them.

I've had really good luck with the Gladiator brand trailer tires, yes they are Chinese but seem to be good quality. I also try to buy a higher load range then needed so I'm not on the edge of capacity.
