Yeah I agree it would be hard to take, I mostly meant that I would be worried about someone busting the window. Maybe it is just my low opinion of the human animal, but I feel like it would be just my luck to find the guy that is willing to smash a $300 window so he can get a $1.50 in change so I try not to leave anything where it can be seen. Of course if you need your tools to travel, you don't really have much choice. Everything is a risk and a determined thief will always find a way.

Anyway, I am calling "No Jinx" so tomorrow your window won't get smashed just because I mentioned it today.

I’m not super fond of the idea either but you nailed it with I need it so there’s not a lot of other options. The only way to boost security very much would be a glass less van and they drive way worse and probably pose a bigger target for theft. And I agree with your opinion of people.

I have a nice newer 2500 truck - easily pulls my Mini Ex and tractor, can haul the family and is even good for road trips with friends.. Have a dump trailer that costs me $23 a year to insure and will haul about 5 tons. Why would I need a dump truck to maintain, license yearly, insure, repair, etc. Most people have no need for a dump truck and when a trailer is $75 ONE time license/plate fee and next to nothing to insure it is hard to beat. Plus around here most decent trailers sell for close to new prices so the cost over the years to own is VERY low.
That's what I found when I was looking for a used dump trailer. And they still sell fast. I wonder if it is because people looking at used never priced new. They are not that expensive. And you can get the exact one you want. That's what I ended up doing.

Fishing a container (loaded with a classic Mustang) out of a house - YouTube

Thought I might stick this here. I watched most of it. I don't know why. Am I missing something?

I had a forty foot container picked up, took him ten minutes to load, drove it a hundred miles and he wasn't here ten minutes dropping it off. Four hundred bucks or something like that. CDM Pesos! What's the Bill gonna be for this excercise?

These guys are making a carreer out of extricating that container, with GREAT, albet the wrong equipment. IMO.

Probably some planning ahead of time would have made a lot of difference for the customer.

The hauler was trying to make a movie more than just doing the job.
