Yeah, gravity's a bi-you know what. Speaking of cranes, remember the big one that collapsed in NYC quite a while ago? They said it was operator error. It always looked to me that the boom should have been folded in half before lowering to the ground. It was just too long and heavy for the base to support.

It's amazing how often a dump truck with the bed up causes an incident.
If something like that happened to regular auto mobile often enough the government would force the automakers to come up with a solution why doesn't Truck or bed manufactures have a solution?
Some kids could've really been hurt in that situation

Unfortunately, drivers train themselves to ignore the LED so they can spread-dump; and if equipped with an alarm, they rip it totally out or bypass it. What is needed is something that limits the truck speed to 5MPH or less if the dump is raised. Such a thing does not yet exist.
