Oh wow! Now getting a new F250 requires MANDATORY pictures, and lots of them. You lucky dog! Geeze! Seriously, good for you!

Well... not to mislead it is my brother getting it... it's just I have been with him on this for about 5 months... started with a F150 for trailer towing and ready to buy... the one he had picked out the salesman said to come back Saturday morning to finish the paperwork and he did... truck was there and no one could find the keys... then heard it was sold to someone else... brother was a little ticked... said OK... and left... they had plenty of other trucks with the short bed and he wanted the long short bed if that makes sense.

So Monday evening he gets a call that it was all a big mistake and to come and get his truck... brother thought about and said he had changed his mind...

The short of it is 6 weeks ago he did a factory order for a F250 Diesel just the way he wanted it... crew cab King Ranch with FX4 wd... kind of surprised me... but he did get about 11k off MSRP...

He did say I've been helping him out a lot and said his 2006 Range Rover is mine when the F250 comes in... it is a very nice SUV... drives wonderful with plenty of power... just not sure I'm the Rover type... nice gesture just the same.

It was the Rover that led to the F250... twice he blew out the air suspension towing his loaded dump trailer... and he tows a lot.

Hope NOT to have any pictures towing something wrong....

He said he feels indebted because working at his place is where I am when not home or at work...

I had to take 16 days of vacation time just before Christmas and spent 15 of them helping him work the land...

He is a very smart guy... but questions himself by saying if I'm so smart home come I have so little time to do the things he wants at the farm...

What is MSRP for that F250?

The note I have is $70,945...

The discount before promotions brings it to $63,487

My understanding the promotions are not set in stone and are determined by the retail delivery date...

So whether another 4k materializes is a crap shoot... at least how it was explained to me. Order was placed almost 9 weeks ago.

We have 10% sales tax and license I imagine will be about $1400 +/-

My brother had a 1978 F250 4wd in High School that he bought from a leasing company... it was his baby and he paid for 100% of it... we did a lot of things to it like change out the cam... years later rebuilt the motor... warn winch... etc... he sold it in 1991 and bought a new Accord... his job took him all over Northern CA and driving the Pickup was expensive...

Never got it out of his system and now with the Christmas Tree farm and livestock decided to go all in... it was his wife that wanted him to ditch the Rover and get a truck... she since has said it was her fault for not expressing a price limit... so she has been looking at cars too... could be a real expensive year for them...

Credit Union approved a 1.8% for 60 months...

Ford really low-balled the Rover saying he was getting so much off the new truck it was the best they could do... I said I would buy it for what they offered... he later said they want to just give it to me.

Still say if he can get good money for it... take it!

I've got two from this week.

Still haven't figured out how he accomplished this.

Here we have what's left of a receiver hitch on a Jeep Cherokee. It's cropped tight to block their plate and bumper stickers.

Well I dunno if anyone got a picture but I was the one towing wrong:( Got greedy n put too much green alder in a dump trailer, overhung the back end 6' instead of four, figured all the fat ends plus a few short logs on top up front would balance it fine. Started out for veneta n every time I would hit 53 the trailer started to sway, had the saw in the truck thought about shortening the overhang n putting them in the back of the truck but was in a hurry so figured I would just keep the speed down! Two straps holding the load down n a third wrapped once around to hold it together has been fine in the past, not this time. Got most of the way there till I hit a couple bumps on the uphill, unbeknownst to me the logs slid back a couple of feet:(( Crested the hill, trailer started swaying hard enough to smoke the tires before I got things under control n stopped, was shocked to see the logs had slid!! Crawled off the hiway to the old road by noti til,I found a tree I could back into n push the load back on, strapped things down a bit tighter n delivered the load. Moral of the story got too greedy, was too tired, started out too late in the day so three too's is one too many!
